The ceremony for the second construction phase of the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf innovation location was celebrated on September 20, 2024, while the first technology and energy companies are starting to move into their premises in the adjacent first construction phase. In the three-part building ensemble at Düsseldorf Airport, companies, start-ups and science and research institutions with 4,000 employees will work closely together on energy, mobility and sustainability projects.

Düsseldorf - ‘Zukunftsorte’, the joint podcast from Rheinische Post Mediengruppe and EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf, is entering its second season. Since Tuesday (21 May), new episodes on the topics of the energy transition, sustainable mobility and innovation have been running wherever podcasts are available.

This year's "Innovation Radar" awards were presented on 24 November as part of the "Central Real Estate Committee e.V." innovation congress at the Umweltforum Berlin. The EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf was honoured as "Outstanding Innovation".

At EXPO REAL, Reinhard Müller presented the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf community concept for a holistically sustainable future location in the presence of Dr Stephan Keller, Lord Mayor of the state capital Düsseldorf, which will meet the German government's CO2 climate targets for 2045 from the outset and in the long term thanks to intelligent architecture, the use of renewable energy sources, new energy storage systems and the consistent networking of state-of-the-art technology.

Mayor Thomas Geisel announced a “settlement project of a very special kind” in May 2019. The official contract signing for this major project for the business and innovation location Düsseldorf took place in the presence of Düsseldorf's Mayor Thomas Geisel, at the real estate trade fair Expo Real in Munich.
