EUREF-Campus

EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf is the second of its kind.
Reinhard Müller, founder of EUREF AG, had the idea for a European Energy Forum centred around the topics of mobility and the energy transition. The EUREF stars have been shining on the gasometer of the former Schöneberg gasworks in Berlin since 2008.

In Düsseldorf, the EUREF-Campus Berlin is being further developed in terms of strategy and content.

Concept

The plan is to construct two buildings with a total of around 80,000 square metres of rental space.

The proximity to the airport, railway and motorway requires special architecture that nevertheless promotes creativity and offers a high quality of stay and workplace.

EUREF AG is rising to the challenge: a building is being planned as a green innovation campus, with a translucent solar glass roof on the inside to create a green interior. Plants promote a favourable climate, supported by the roof construction and special ventilation technology. The air for the building is ionised using an innovative process without producing ozone – clean air for a pleasant working environment.

A mobility hub will be set up in the second new building.

The EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf creates space for ideas: In addition to the anchor tenant Schneider Electric with its German headquarters, regional and international companies from the fields of energy, mobility and environmental protection as well as climate protection technology will find their place here.

In Düsseldorf, we would like to demonstrate that the shift to renewable energy is possible and affordable. EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf will be a place of the future!

Interior

Enjoying the indoor garden with trees and and useful plants

EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf, with its areas of interest, represents a unique platform of the future. It will offer its tenants and guests from political, commercial and scientific arenas as well as the general public a lively space for discourse, exchanges of information and events. The EUREF-Dome is available for all of these events, and more.

Campus life will take place in the three available atriums in particular. In the bright, green halls, you can not only relax and unwind, but also find new places for teamwork or creativity. On the ground floor of the Innovation Campus, there will be a modern company catering area for the highest demands with a focus on quality, taste and variety.

Fresh air on campus with a special ventilation technology

Fresh air supply

Cutting-edge ventilation systems will continuously provide the whole campus with fresh air. The purification of dust happens with the help of conventional mechanical filtering with an improved filter effect. Ionisation is used for the purification of pollutants and particulate matter as well as neutralising the kerosene smell. By using UV-C irradiation, 99,9% of all known viruses are filtered from the air – a quality needed not only in times of COVID-19, but also in the yearly flu season. This system is already being used on the campus in Berlin.

Healthy air supply

In addition to the purification and irradiation of the outdoor air, with the help of ionisation this supply air is brought to a very high quality. With this technique the building stands out from other similar buildings, because it is normally only used for the clean room technology – for spaces with high requirements for indoor air quality. The air is purified from particulate matter, TVOC (e.g. CO2), pollen and airborne particles.

Convenient for transit

The EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf is conveniently located right next to Düsseldorf International Airport, the motorway and Düsseldorf Airport railway station, with connections to local, regional and long-distance transport. There is direct access to the railway station and SkyTrain with a connection to the airport terminal.

The transport hub will be further expanded over the next few years. For example, there are plans to extend the U81 underground line. A new fast cycle route is also to run alongside the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf.
