A great day for the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf. The EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf and Stadtwerke Düsseldorf AG signed the corresponding contracts.

The first sustainability and innovation campus in North Rhein-Westphalia is being built under the direction of Implenia Hochbau GmbH as general contractor (GU).

The Executive Board of EUREF-AG was expanded by another member as of January 1, 2022. In addition to the CEO Reinhard Müller and the board members Karin Teichmann and Johannes Tücks, Kevin Hauert is now also a member of this board.

Jörg Philippi-Gerle is the new site manager of the EUREF Campus Düsseldorf, located in the triangle between the airport, the highway and the railroad tracks.

Dr Ludger Hellenthal, managing partner of “H2 Green Power & Logistics GmbH” is currently on tour in Germany with the hydrogen truck “Hyundai Xcient Fuel Cell”. It had already passed eleven cities in seven federal states when it arrived in Schöneberg on the EUREF-Campus on 7 December.

The EUREF-Campus in Berlin-Schöneberg has established itself and will be completed in 2023. Now, the campus is about to become an export hit – in Düsseldorf, a second EUREF-Campus will be built. On 26 August, a groundbreaking ceremony took place. Future tenants of the campus attended the ceremony, as well as the City of Düsseldorf with its Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller and the State of North-Rhine Westphalia with its Prime Minister Armin Laschet.

The EUREF Campus Düsseldorf is set to become the new, climate-neutral corporate headquarters of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, supporting the company’s growth and sustainability targets. “SPIE’s core business involves offering services for a carbon-free economy. This is why we see ourselves as part of the solution for a sustainable future. The move to the EUREF Campus Düsseldorf emphasizes this mission of SPIE like no other place. “

Uwe Kerkmann, Head of EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf, and Alexander Söchtig, COO at inno2grid, presented the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf and opportunities for international start-ups to work with Inno2grid at the Start.up! Germany Tour 2020.

Uwe Kerkmann, Head of EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf, attended this year’s Start-up Week in Düsseldorf. Together with Stadtwerke Düsseldorf (the biggest energy provider in the city) he discussed about the city’s goal to be “Climate-neutral by 2035”. Topics included were mobility solutions of the future, new energy concepts and climate-neutral buildings, where EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf is a pioneer in its field.

Mayor Thomas Geisel announced a “settlement project of a very special kind” in May 2019.
The official contract signing for this major project for the business and innovation location Düsseldorf took place in the presence of Düsseldorf’s Mayor Thomas Geisel, at the real estate trade fair Expo Real in Munich.
