We worked right up to the last minute, and then it worked!

Starting signal for NRW.Energy4Climate. The state company for energy and climate protection is the first to move into the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf. Managing Director Christian Mildenberger arrives at 11 a.m. on 1 July 2024 with three colleagues for the handover and inspects the approximately 1,000 square meters on the fourth floor. Always at his side: Carla Berg, Head of Human Resources and Organization and the most important contact person for our construction management and the team from our general contractor Implenia in recent weeks.

Together with Heribert Günther, Managing Director of EUREF Consulting, Jörg Kinzelmann, Major Project Manager at Implenia, and the site managers, they move from room to room. And in the end, it’s not just the ceiling lights and the white walls that shine, but also the NRW.Energy4Climate team. Because the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf is now their new home.

Christian Mildenberger: “We are delighted to be the first tenant to move into the new EUREF-Campus today. With today’s handover of the keys, the state company NRW.Energy4Climate will in future have its headquarters in a location that shows how the energy transition and climate-neutral buildings are feasible and affordable. What would suit us better than this campus, where relevant players in the field of climate protection and the energy transition automatically network?

A big compliment to Implenia, all the trades involved and public utilities Düsseldorf, who have all worked hard to realize the promised date.

The arrival of NRW.Energy4Climate is a milestone for the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf. The campus will now provide expert support for the energy transition of NRW companies and municipalities.

And things will continue in just a few weeks. Our largest partners, Schneider Electric and SPIE, will start moving into their premises in September.
